St Patricks College - Queensland

Industry: Education

The new Cultural & Sports Centre Building for St Patricks College in Shorncliffe has been designed by Bertoldi Architects. With the architects designs calling for most structural columns and beams to be exposed, there was a legal requirement for them to be adequately protected in the case of fire.
Having been approached to discuss the range of Nullifire intumescent coatings and their advantages over more traditional systems, Nullifire SC902 was selected as the product of choice, primarily because;

  • Nullifire SC902 offered a fast & rapid application system
  • When applied by experienced applicators it is possible to achieve a a high level of finish straight from the gun when compared to other intumescent coating systems
  • It achieves the required FRL (Fire Rating Limit) at a lower cost than alternatives.
  • It offers superior impact resistance and high resistance levels to damage which can be expected within a school environment

Nullifire has been used on several school projects including, St Mary’s Ipswich, St Ursula’s Toowoomba, St Laurence’s South Brisbane, All Hallows Brisbane & Emmanuel Christian College.
