Jeta Gardens Retirement Village

Industry: Residential

Logan retirement and aged care resort – Jeta Gardens – made Australian history when it announced a 10 year Master plan, a vision which will see $600 million invested into development to create the first intergenerational facility of its kind in the country.

Currently housing 200 residents and approximately 150 staff, the designs will see the nature of the village change to include additional retirement villas and apartments, serviced aged care facilities, a clubhouse, pharmacy and childcare facilities, student accommodation, a private hospital and international training college specialising in geriatrics. Upon completion the village which will be developed in partnership with one of Queensland's renowned universities will cater to 2000 residents and 1500 staff.

The location of the development has been carefully selected with Logan Hospital (currently undergoing redevelopment) and Griffith University just down the road, and plans for future healthcare providers in train, the area will soon be home to some of the best medical practitioners and researchers in South East Queensland.

To date, a range of Nullifire products have been used on the initial building extension stages & rectification to existing buildings:

  • Nullifire SC902 intumescent was used to provide a 120 mins FRL to structural columns.

  • B747-50 Intumescent Batts & FS700 Dynamic Sealant were used in combination to achieve Perimeter fire stopping capabilities

Much more work is planned for this exciting development and we will continue to update you with news on how Nullifire is being used across this project.
